I've always had a lot of issues sleeping, partially to do with overall back pain and muscle spasms. I have wanted a memory foam mattress for a long time, as I had heard from reliable sources that they help reduce pressure points. As someone who has lived with Fibromyalgia for over 15 years, reducing pressure points in the back is a big concern for me. Fibromyalgia can also cause joint and nerve pain all throughout the body. When you sleep better with less pressure on your back and joints, it makes dealing with the disease that much easier.

My top choice was always the 10 Inch Allure as I'd laid on one in the store. Now that I have one of these, I sleep so much easier than before. I've gone from regular firm pocket coil mattresses to a plush pillow top (but still pocket coil), and now to a 10" memory foam bed. I've never slept better! I will admit that the first two nights I slept on this mattress I was stiff and sore the next day and that was disappointing. However, since I work in the furniture industry, I knew I had to give the mattress a little more time for my body to get used to it, and I'm so glad I did! With only two days of adjusting to the mattress, I now wake up without my alarm and have slept much better. I used to toss and turn from my sides to my back and now that the mattress allows me to sink into it, I've been sleeping almost solely on my back which is much better for keeping your spine aligned and your back healthy and pain free!

The removable mattress cover is a plush material that I can feel through my sheet. It's not scratchy like my old traditional mattresses were. I could even sleep on the bed without a sheet and it would be fine.

I tend to sleep warm and I've heard that a lot of people have problems with memory foam "sleeping hot", but I haven't found that to be the case with my mattress. I already get warm when I sleep and I haven't felt much of a difference. Mattress comfort can be very hard to define. I would consider this mattress medium firmness with the 8" Eloquence II being more firm and the 12" Ocean Breeze being on the softer side.

One thing that also helps me sleep better on the memory foam is having two different memory foam pillows to choose from. I have both the Celebrity Pillow and the World's Greatest Memory Foam Pillow and I tend to use them interchangeably depending on how I'm sleeping (back or side).

Overall, I love my new mattress and wouldn't trade it for the world. Getting a good night's sleep is so important for overall health and happiness so choosing the right mattress is very important!!! I'm used to sleeping on a firm pocket coil mattress with a 2" memory foam mattress topper. Pocket coil mattresses tend to make the pressure points on my back feel worse. Needless to say, I rarely sleep well. I'm saving up for a new mattress and I've found one that I want! The 10" Allure is perfect for my sleeping needs. It's just firm enough that when I lay on it, it supports my lower and upper back giving me a cushion affect that relieves the pressure from the sore spots on my back. I suffer from back spasms and insomnia, so finding the right mattress is incredibly important to me. I can sink in comfortably to the body conforming memory foam and feel like I'm being supported by cushions with just the right firmness. Since this is a 10" memory foam mattress, it's not quite as firm as the 8" Eloquence II which I find comfortable but a little too hard for my tender back. The foam conforms to my body quickly and rebounds within a minute or so once I get off the bed. My upper back, between my shoulders, is especially sensitive and when lying on the Allure I felt like I could sleep all day and wake up rested. My aching back felt supported but cushioned comfortably by the memory foam. My legs were also supported fairly well, though I generally sleep with a pillow under my legs to raise them up and without an adjustable bed it's hard to find any mattress that will keep my legs right where I want them. That's the only draw back I saw to this particular mattress for my comfort needs. The cover was incredibly soft and I like that about Rest Therapy's memory foam mattresses. The cover is as soft as a blanket and I'd be tempted to sleep without a fitted sheet. The mattress didn't have a noticeable temperature difference from the topper I sleep on at home but it wasn't particularly cold or warm while I was trying it out. I'm planning to purchase this mattress as soon as I've saved up (or when I get my tax refund which ever comes first!) If you like mid-range firmness over soft or ultra firm mattresses and like memory foam, I definitely recommend the Allure. It's a great value and a good investment to make. Sleeping well affects your overall health, so consider your mattress purchase carefully!

The Rest Therapy memory foam mattresses can be put into three categories based on the density of their pressure relieving material (2 lb, 2.5 lb, and 3 lb). As the density increases, so does the amount of support and pressure relief. A higher density has more small, round cells. The cells move away from heat and pressure while still remaining round and providing pressure-relieving support. Durability and weight-limit also increases with a higher density. Lighter people may not require a higher density and may enjoy the Eloquence II. Heavier people are more likely to benefit from a higher density found in the Allure or Astonishing II. Memory foam softens over time. A higher density will reduce the amount of softening and slow down the process.

I purchased a memory foam mattress due to the worsening joint pain in my lower back and hips which was making it harder and harder to get out of bed. I would wake up in so much pain, that I literally could not move and would have to pull myself out of bed and onto the floor, or get someone to help me get out of bed. We purchased the Tempur-pedic Plush mattress in December of 2011. The mattress cradles my body wonderfully as there are no coils or no pressure points on my joints. You sink in within seconds, and when you roll over it reacts instantly.

The Allure mattress by Rest Therapy is very comfortable! It is actually softer then the Tempur-Pedic Plush. If I had to choose between the Eloquence II and the Allure, I would go with the Eloquence II since it’s firmer. Those with back problems should choose a firmer mattress to ensure their joints have good support.
