Job Purpose:
The primary role of this position will be to adjudicate claims. Time will be split between receiving and answering calls and emails from customers to advise them on the claim filing process and filing the necessary documentation with suppliers and shipping companies. The goal is to reduce the percentage of orders that have a claim and to process the orders that do have claims as quickly as possible.

Some Examples:
1. A customer receives their new sofa set, but for some reason, the factory forgot to include the feet, so we need to arrange to have the feet shipped out to the customer from the supplier. It’s usually pretty easy, but sometimes they require a few reminders and confirmation to send them directly to the customer and ensure WFB is not charged.

2. A customer calls quite upset as they are in the process of receiving delivery from one of our shipping companies and the driver is asking them to accept a damaged shipment. You have to discern what action needs to be taken to provide the best possible solution. It’s not common, but when it happens, we need to know what to do.

If you do not have experience in this area, do not worry, WFB provides training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering, handling, and forwarding calls and emails.
  • Managing entire claims process including: initial calls & emails, filing documentation on WFB systems, filing necessary documentation with suppliers and / or shipping companies, following up on claims, deciding a resolution, communicating the resolution to the claimant, closing claims, and filing daily and weekly reports.
