The casual styled Alaska Twin over Full Bunk Bed by True Contemporary features two included storage drawers for neatly stowing away clothes, toys or extra linens. The ladder is included for safe and easy access to the top bunk. Solid wood construction means this set will last and last. No box spring needed! You do not require a box spring as your mattress will be safely supported by the slats that are included.

Q. Can the ladder be switched to the other side?
A. No, the ladder can only be used on the right side of the bunk bed.

Q. Does this bunk bed separate into two beds?
A. Yes, the bunk bed can be separated into two beds. However, the top bunk guard rail cannot be removed.

Q. Does this bunk bed come with a trundle? Can a trundle be used with this bed?
A. The Bunk Bed comes with two under-bed storage drawers! The space under the bottom bunk is only 6". Most trundles with mattresses will not fit.

Q. What size of mattress do I need?
A. This bunk bed comes with a label stating, "ensure [mattress] thickness does not exceed 6" and the mattress is at least 5" below the upper surface of the guardrails." The rails for this bed are 13.5" high, which means any mattress 8.5" thick or less can be used safely on the upper bunk of the bed.

Q. What are the weight limits of the top and bottom bunk?
A. The top bunk bed can support a maximum weight of 180lbs, while the bottom bunk can support up to 250lbs.

Twin Over Full Assembly:
Bunk Bed (Approx. 60 - 90 Minutes):
The bunk bed will need to be assembled. You will need to fasten rails and guardrails to bed ends, fasten slats to rails, and place upper bed end onto the lower bed (2 people required). 

Ladder (Approx. 15 - 20 Minutes):
The ladder will need to be assembled. You will need to insert wood dowels to both ends of the ladder step and fasten ladder stiles to steps. 

Drawers (Approx. 15 - 20 Minutes):
The drawers will need to be assembled. You will need to fasten side panels to back panel and insert drawer bottom, followed by placing a drawer front panel on.
