This bunk bed is constructed from pine wood for long-lasting durability in a romantic white finish, with built-in guard rails along each side of the top bunk to keep your little sleeper safe and secure. To maximize your storage space, two under-bed storage drawers and a spacious stairway storage chest are included for keeping extra clothes, linens and toys neatly tucked away and organized! The stairway chest can be securely attached to either end of the bunk bed to accommodate your child's room. This functional design features large stair steps to the top bunk with four built-in spacious storage spaces that can be conveniently accessed by pulling out the drawers. The bottom stair provides a sturdy foundation and support for little scurrying feet. A diagonal ladder is also included for safe and easy access to the top bunk, perfect for little feet. A. Yes, the bunk bed can be separated into two beds. However, the top bunk guard rail cannot be removed.
Q. Does this bunk bed come with a trundle? Can a trundle be used with this bed?
A. The Fraser Bunk Bed comes with two under-bed storage drawers! The space under the bottom bunk is only 6". Most trundles with mattresses will not fit.
Q. What size of mattress do I need?
A. This bunk bed comes with a label stating, "ensure [mattress] thickness does not exceed 6" and the mattress is at least 5" below the upper surface of the guardrails." The rails for this bed are 13.5" high, which means any mattress 8.5" thick or less can be used safely on the upper bunk of the bed.
Q. What are the weight limits of the top and bottom bunk?
A. The top bunk bed can support a maximum weight of 180lbs, while the bottom bunk can support up to 250lbs.

Bunk Bed (Approx. 60 - 90 Minutes):
The bunk bed will need to be assembled. You will need to fasten rails and guardrails to bed ends, fasten slats to rails, and place upper bed end onto the lower bed (2 people required).
Ladder (Approx. 15 - 20 Minutes):
The ladder will need to be assembled. You will need to insert wood dowels to both ends of ladder step and fasten ladder stiles to steps.
Drawers (Approx. 15 - 20 Minutes):
The drawers will need to be assembled. You will need to fasten side panels to back panel and insert drawer bottom, followed by placing drawer front panel on.
This bunk bed is shipped Ready to Assemble. It can be assembled quickly and easily with the easy-to-follow assembly instructions that are included. Inside placement is available for these bunk beds, however, professional assembly is not.
