Sofa Beds in Kelowna, BC

A sofa bed is a couch that converts into a bed, giving you everyday seating and a place for guests to sleep in the same piece of furniture. Wholesale Furniture Brokers sells sofa beds to Kelowna and the Central Okanagan, including Urban Cali sleeper sofas and sleeper sectionals with pull out beds, storage chaises and features like adjustable headrests, cupholders and wireless charging. Kelowna shoppers can try a sofa bed at our Kamloops showroom before buying, then pick up their order or have it delivered to their home in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and surrounding areas.

How does a pop up sofa bed work?

On a pop up sofa bed, the bed is hidden under the seat. You pull the base forward and a platform lifts up to sit level with the seat cushions, creating a flat sleeping surface in seconds without removing cushions or unfolding a separate mattress. When guests leave, the platform lowers and slides back under the seat, and the couch looks like a regular sofa again. Each product page shows the open sleeping area so you can compare sizes.

Sleeper sofa or sleeper sectional?

A sleeper sofa like the Urban Cali Eureka fits a smaller living room, den or condo and converts into a bed when guests stay over. A sleeper sectional adds a chaise or corner, so it seats more people during the day and often includes a storage chaise for pillows and blankets. Urban Cali sleeper sectionals range from compact designs like the Venice and Calabasas to large models like the Atherton, Burbank and Bel Air, and U shaped sleepers like the Lancaster. Why Kelowna homes rely on a sofa bed

Kelowna welcomes visitors year round, from summer lake weekends and wine tours to ski trips at Big White, and many households host friends and family without a dedicated guest room. A sofa bed turns a living room, basement or home office into guest space in minutes, then goes back to being a comfortable couch the next morning. For guests who stay longer or need a full mattress, compare Kelowna Murphy beds.

Kelowna Sofa Beds FAQ

What is a pop up sofa bed?

A pop up sofa bed hides a platform under the seat that pulls out and lifts up to sit level with the cushions, forming a flat bed. It opens and closes quickly and doesn't require removing cushions or unfolding a thin mattress, unlike a traditional pull out sofa bed.

What is a hide a bed?

Hide a bed is a common Canadian term for a sofa bed or sleeper sofa: a couch with a bed hidden inside it. Today the terms sofa bed, sleeper sofa, sofa sleeper, pull out couch and hide a bed all describe the same type of furniture.

Can you sleep on a sofa bed every night?

Sofa beds are designed mainly for guests and occasional use, so they're ideal for visitors staying a few nights. For a few weeks of regular use, a mattress topper adds comfort. For someone sleeping on it every night, a Murphy bed or a regular bed with a full mattress is the better choice.

How much room does an open sofa bed need?

Check the open depth listed on the product page, then add about 60 centimetres (24 inches) of walking space at the foot and side of the bed. Before buying, make sure a coffee table or rug can be moved out of the way when the bed is open.
